Who am I?

I'm a 27-year-old who can usually be found in the woods (or on the coast) with a fishing rod or camera in hand. If I'm not there, I'm probably sitting at my desk working on upcoming projects or busy tying flies for the next mountain season.
Growing up on Gotland among waves and limestone cliffs, my interest in showing other people how amazing the world around us is was formed early on and I have worked as a guide and zookeeper for the past 8 years with everything from giraffes and gorillas to caves.
Fishing has been a part of my life since my early teens, but it was just over 5 years ago that the inspiration really took off when I started learning to fly fish. My vacation weeks during those years were quickly booked with trips to the mountains and forests of northern Sweden where I mainly focused on trout and grayling fishing in running water but also built experience in foraging and outdoor life.

The inspiration for more adventure culminated in me giving up my apartment, rebuilding my car, getting a roof tent and living in it for 6 months until the start of school at Forshagaakademin in August 2023.

I wanted to try a wilderness life where I had plenty of time to write, fish and photograph my adventures. In doing so, I have learned to live simply and fall back on the things that give my life substance and meaning which are all grounded in nature and people.

Since 2024 I have started my own guided tours in the Swedish mountains where I try to get to know my guests who come from all over the world and teach them everything I can about our nature and culture.
As a person, I am careful, driven and solution-oriented. My time in professional life has taught me how to work efficiently and safely, both in a team but also on my own. When guiding and working, the most important thing for me is to have fun and believe in what I do, but also to make sure my guests feel safe and get the most out of their experience.
I have good language skills in Swedish and English.

Best regards!

FAQ

What is physically required of me to fish or join your guided tours?

- Both hiking and wading can be physically demanding. We adapt our guided tours to your physical abilities and also have waters that are adapted for the disabled.

If you are not keen on hiking or wading, guided tours or fishing from a boat can be a good alternative.

What if the weather looks bad before a booked tour and I would like to cancel?

- We have rolling contact with booking guests and are happy to look for solutions, but our cancellation policy is that you as a customer will have to pay half the price of the tour if you want to cancel a week before the tour.

This is because there is a lot of preparation for the tour and because other guests' bookings may be denied to complete your booking.

What is the weather like?

- The weather can be very unpredictable in the mountains, even in summer. Bring good clothes for rain and cold!

If we want to extend a tour during the day, is that okay?

- Talk to the guide and it is usually possible to find a flexible solution.

When is the best time to fish or book a guided tour?

- We usually say that the fishing is at its best from v25-v26 onwards until the end of August. Each part of the season has its charm.

The guides are usually most in demand during July, but we are flexible when it comes to requests. Feel free to contact us at the center if you have further questions.

How do I pay?

- Payment is made either on the spot or by invoice.

Am I insured with you?

- No, please check your own home and personal insurance. However, hired equipment is insured and our guide risk assesses each experience and safety is always a top priority when out in the wilderness.

Is there a catch guarantee on fish when guiding?

- It's fishing so you can never promise anything, but we can almost always lure up something!

Are there a lot of mosquitoes and gnats?

- As long as it's not windy, there's often no shortage of these little creatures. Bring mosquito repellent and full-coverage clothing.
