Ice fishing waters
Informatiomn regarding waters that are well suited for ice fishing!
Acktjärn, Hammartjärn, Klyfttjärn
Acktjärn is passed if you travel between Tännäs and Funäsdalen by snowmobile, and from Acktjärn, you can continue to the other lakes. There are a couple of wind shelters, and at Hammartjärn, there’s even a stove!
If you're looking for char, Hammartjärn might be the lake you're seeking!
Östersjön and Tänndalssjön
Great opportunities for excellent trout fishing, both summer and winter!
These waters are ideal for those who don’t have access to a snowmobile, as they are easily reachable from the nearby road!
Winter char fishing is especially popular here, and you have a chance to catch them!
Rogen and Bredåsjön
If you have access to a snowmobile, we highly recommend these two lakes located in the Rogen Nature Reserve. Here, you have the chance to catch both large trout and char.
Häckelsjön and Tevsjön
Two lakes in Ljusnedal that are within walking distance from the road! There are also wind shelters where you can grill sausages while waiting for the fish to bite!
Frösjön
Ice fishing with close proximity to the village of Tännäs. Very good chances of catching nice perch and grayling!
Funäsdalssjön
Ice fishing right in the middle of Funäsdalen! There are many different species, and the store is nearby for a coffee break if the fishing slows down!
CHAR "BLÄNKE"
These classic lures come in a variety of shapes and colors.
We use this type of lure for all mountain fishing, but it is perhaps best suited for trout and char fishing.
Baits
"BALANSPIRK"
It is especially effective for perch fishing, but trout can also appreciate this type of lure. Depending on the model, it moves up and down or sideways when you jerk the line!
"MORMYSKA"
These lures are small and require a sensitive rod tip to avoid missing the strike. They work well when the fish aren’t actively biting!
SNOW MOBILE
In Funäsfjällen, the snowmobile trails extend for about 600 kilometers.
The trails are continuously groomed and clearly marked.
Winter fishing is something special! You don’t have to worry about mosquitoes and midges, which can often disrupt the fishing experience during the summer. Additionally, the chances of catching char have increased during the winter!
